J R Zanane, born on 24 December 1945, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 Madhya Pradesh cadre. She holds a postgraduate degree and a graduate degree in Geography. During her career, she served in various capacities including Under Secretary, Deputy Secretary, District Collector, Secretary to Governor, Commissioner & Director, and Ex-officio Secretary. Her most recent position was Secretary in the General Administration Department (Personnel) of Madhya Pradesh from 5 July 2003 to 31 December 2005. Her extensive service reflects a dedicated tenure in the Madhya Pradesh administration.
