J P Vishwakarma, born on March 1, 1942, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He served in the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, holding the position of Director from October 1, 2001, to February 28, 2002. Throughout his career, Vishwakarma held various roles including Commissioner, Director, Special Secretary, Joint Director, Additional District Magistrate, and Joint Secretary. He is a graduate by education.
