J Kumar Shrivastava, born on April 7, 1961, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 batch, Madhya Pradesh cadre. He holds postgraduate and graduate degrees in Hindi. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Assistant Commissioner, Additional Collector, Settlement Officer, Administrator, Inspector General, Additional Secretary, Managing Director, Commissioner, Rehabilitation Commissioner, Principal Secretary, and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary in the Trade and Taxes Department of Madhya Pradesh, a role he assumed on June 22, 2018.
