J C Goswami, born on 31 May 1935, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds graduate degrees in English and Law, along with a postgraduate degree in History. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector and Magistrate, Under Secretary, Joint Secretary, Managing Director, Joint Director, Deputy Director, and Junior Scale. His most recent position was Special Secretary in the Agriculture and Cooperation Department from 1 July 1992 to 1 May 1993. Mr. Goswami’s extensive service reflects a broad administrative experience within the Indian civil services.
