J B Patel, born on 29 December 1962, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2008 Gujarat cadre. He holds an M.Sc. in Geology from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. During his career, he served in various capacities including District Development Officer, Chief Executive Officer, and Managing Director. His most recent position was District Collector in Gujarat, commencing on 3 September 2019, within the Revenue Department.
