Iqbal Singh Bains, born on November 13, 1962, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 Madhya Pradesh cadre. A graduate in Electronics, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Excise Commissioner, and Managing Director. He held senior roles such as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Secretary to the Governor, Additional Chief Secretary, and Additional Secretary. His most recent position was Chief Secretary to the Government of Madhya Pradesh from December 1, 2022, to May 31, 2023. Throughout his career, he contributed to multiple departments and administrative functions within the state government.
