Hira Lal, born on January 4, 1945, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1989 Bihar cadre. A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including Additional Secretary, District Collector and Magistrate. His most recent designation was District Officer from March 27, 2003, to January 31, 2005. He was associated with the Land Revenue Department as the Director of Census Operations.
