Himanshu Kumar Rai, born on July 10, 1972, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2010 batch, serving in the Bihar cadre. He holds a B.A. in History and an M.A. in Medieval History. Currently, he is the Commissioner at Darbhanga, Bihar, a position he has held since December 11, 2025. Throughout his career, he has also served as Commissioner and Special Secretary. He is proficient in Hindi and continues to serve in the IAS.
