Himanshu Kumar, born on 10 November 1965, is a 1990 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IIT and a PG Diploma in Management from IIM. Currently, he serves as the Managing Director of UP Electronics Corporation since 30 March 2026. His extensive career includes roles such as Joint Magistrate, Divisional Commissioner, District Magistrate, Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary to Government, and various leadership positions including Joint Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
