Hemant Sharma, born on 25 September 1969, is a 1995 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Odisha cadre. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree and is proficient in English and Hindi. Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Industries Department of Odisha, a position he has held since 2 January 2026. Throughout his career, Sharma has held multiple key roles including Principal Secretary, Chairman & Managing Director, Commissioner & Director, Managing Director, and Sub Collector. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service with extensive experience in various administrative capacities.
