Harsh Gupta, born on 24 September 1971, is a 1997 batch IAS officer of the Karnataka cadre. He holds a B.E. degree and a master's from the University of California, Berkeley. Currently, he serves as the Principal Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare Department of Karnataka since 20 June 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Project Director, Regional Commissioner, Secretary, Managing Director, Commissioner (Labour), Deputy Commissioner, Additional Secretary, Executive Director, Joint Commissioner, General Manager, and Chief Executive Officer. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
