Harish Nayar, born on 20 September 1965, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2009 batch, Punjab cadre. He holds an LL.B. and a Ph.D. Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Electoral Officer at Punjab, a position he has held since 25 January 2024. Previously, he was appointed as Special Secretary to the Government on inter-cadre deputation. Harish Nayar continues to serve in the IAS, contributing to the administrative framework of Punjab.
