Hareet Shukla, an IAS officer of the 1999 batch from the Gujarat cadre, was born on 15 June 1976. He holds a B.Tech. in Textile Engineering from IIT Delhi, an M.A. in Economics, and a Masters in International Business. Currently, he serves as the Principal Secretary at Gujarat in the General Administration Department (ART&NRI) since 26 February 2026. His previous roles include Ex. Officio Principal Secretary to Government, Chief Electoral Officer for Gujarat, Secretary to Government, Commissioner, Managing Director, Director, Joint Secretary, District Collector, and Assistant Collector. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
