Hanish Chhabra, born on December 9, 1980, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2006 batch, Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a B.A. and M.A. from Delhi University. Currently, he serves as Joint Secretary in the Department of Food and Public Distribution under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, New Delhi, a position he assumed on January 1, 2026. Previously, he held the position of Managing Director. Hanish is proficient in English, Hindi, and Tamil. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
