H Rajesh Prasad, born on June 1, 1967, is a 1995 batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre. He holds a Graduate degree in Commerce and an LL.B. from Delhi University, along with an M.P.M. from Pondicherry University. Currently, he serves as the Chief Secretary of the Union Territory of Chandigarh since October 5, 2025. His previous roles include Principal Secretary to Government, Commissioner, Administrator, and Deputy Commissioner. Proficient in English and Kannada, Mr. Prasad continues to contribute to the Indian Administrative Service in his ongoing tenure.
