Gyan Prakash Upadhyaya, born on 29 October 1964, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 batch of the Sikkim cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Structural Engineering, a graduate degree in Civil Engineering, and an M.A. in Public Administration from the National University of Singapore. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Principal Secretary, Secretary General, Commissioner & Secretary, and Deputy Commissioner. Most recently, he was Adviser Secretary in the Geology and Mines Department from March 2023 to October 2024. His extensive experience spans multiple administrative and managerial roles.
