Gurcharan Singh, born on December 3, 1949, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1974 Gujarat cadre. He holds graduate degrees in Mathematics and Law. Over his career, he served in various capacities including Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Chief Electoral Officer, Managing Director, Secretary, OSD to Minister, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, District Collector, District Development Officer, and Assistant Collector. His most recent position was Director General at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, from April 6, 2008, to December 31, 2009. He was associated with the Mahatma Gandhi Labour Institute during his service.
