Govind Swarup, born on August 26, 1946, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1971 Maharashtra cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Political Science and a graduate degree in Physics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Principal Secretary, Secretary, Managing Director, Commissioner, Divisional Commissioner, Additional Textile Commissioner, Administrator, District Collector, Deputy Secretary, Additional Commissioner, CEO, and Assistant Collector. His most recent designation was Principal Secretary in the Department of Labour and Employment, Maharashtra. Mr. Swarup’s extensive service reflects a diverse administrative experience within the Maharashtra state government.
