Gopal Krishna, born on April 14, 1960, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 West Bengal cadre. He holds an M.B.A. in Business Administration, a B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics, and an M.Sc. in Physics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Magistrate, Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary, Director General, Managing Director, Additional Chief Secretary, and Secretary. His most recent position was Secretary of the Department of Shipping and Waterways from October 11, 2017, to April 30, 2020.
