Giridhar Aramane, born on June 12, 1963, is a 1988 batch Indian Administrative Service officer from the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Tech and graduate degree in Civil Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, along with a postgraduate qualification in Industrial Management. Currently serving as Secretary in the Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi, he has held various positions including Officer on Special Duty, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary, Executive Director, Managing Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Commissioner, Project Director, Joint Collector, District Development Officer, Project Officer, and Assistant Collector. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Telugu.
