Gireesh B Pradhan, born on December 20, 1952, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1977 Maharashtra cadre. He holds a graduate and postgraduate degree in History from Delhi University and a postgraduate degree in Public Administration from Carlton University, Ottawa. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Under Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Director, Joint Secretary, Additional Secretary, Special Secretary, and Secretary to Speaker. He also held leadership roles such as Director General and Chief Executive Officer. His most recent position was Secretary at Maharashtra in the Department of New and Renewable Energy.
