Gauri Shankar Prasad, born on 11 February 1951, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1995 batch, Jharkhand cadre. During his career, he held various positions including Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Inspector General, and Registrar. His most recent role was Director in the Rural Development Department from 31 July 2010 to 28 February 2011. Throughout his service, he contributed to multiple administrative functions within the Jharkhand cadre before retiring from the IAS.
