Gaurav Kumar, born on December 3, 1985, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2017 batch, Uttarakhand cadre. He holds a B.Sc. in Physics from Choudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. Currently, he serves as the District Magistrate of Chamoli, Uttarakhand, a position he has held since October 12, 2025. His previous roles include Assistant Secretary, Assistant Collector and Executive Magistrate, and Additional Secretary. He was awarded the DM Medal for Outstanding Work as Block Development Officer in Agastyamuni. Gaurav Kumar continues to serve in the IAS with dedication.
