Gangatharan D, born on 18 April 1983, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2013 batch, Maharashtra cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Information Technology from Madras University, Chennai. Currently, he serves as Joint Commissioner at the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai since 24 July 2023. Throughout his career, Gangatharan has held various positions including District Collector, Deputy Secretary, Municipal Commissioner, Chief Executive Officer, Assistant Collector, and Assistant Secretary. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service, contributing to the governance and administration of Maharashtra.
