Ganga Ram Barua, born on January 5, 1949, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds postgraduate qualifications in History and a graduate degree in Hindi. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Director, Secretary, Transport Commissioner, Commissioner, Director General, District Magistrate, Managing Director, Special Secretary, Additional Commissioner, General Manager, Joint Secretary, Joint Director, and Executive Magistrate. His most recent position was Director at the State Planning Institute from January 1, 2007, to January 31, 2009.
