He holds a graduate degree and has served in various capacities including Joint Secretary and Secretary. As of 29 January 2025, he is serving as Secretary in the Soil and Water Conservation Department, Maharashtra. Ganesh B. Patil continues to contribute to the administrative framework of the state in his current role.
