G Vajralingam, born on October 10, 1958, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1986 Punjab cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Botany, a Ph.D. in Chemistry, and a postgraduate degree in Chemistry. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Principal Secretary, Member of the Finance Commission, Additional Director General, Registrar, Managing Director, Director, Secretary, Special Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Additional Deputy Commissioner, and Sub-Divisional Officer. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary in the Parliamentary Affairs Department, commencing December 1, 2017.
