A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including Sub Collector, Deputy Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, District Collector, Joint Secretary, and Joint Commissioner. His most recent position was Commissioner in the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department from 27 May 2009 to 31 July 2010. Throughout his career, he held multiple District Collector roles, contributing to administrative functions within the Tamil Nadu government.
