G Prakash, born on 14 February 1976, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2000 batch, Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a B.E. degree and is proficient in English and Tamil. Throughout his career, he has served in various capacities including Sub Collector, Additional Collector, District Collector, Additional Commissioner (RA), Director, Joint Secretary, and Commissioner. Currently, he is the Member Secretary at the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA), Tamil Nadu, a position he has held since 25 June 2025. G Prakash continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
