G P Yadav, born on January 2, 1944, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 Bihar cadre. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics, along with postgraduate and graduate degrees in Economics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector and Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner, Deputy Development Commissioner, Joint Director, and Special Secretary. He also held multiple Managing Director roles and worked as a Consultant and Economist. His most recent position was Secretary in the Rural Development Department from January 31, 2003, to January 31, 2004.
