Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Director, Member Secretary, Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Adviser, Deputy Secretary, Under Secretary, Managing Director, CEO, and SDO. His most recent designation was Director General at Maharashtra's Energy Department. Pillai's extensive administrative experience spans multiple leadership roles within the state government.
