G Kameswara Rao, born on March 5, 1955, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 Tripura cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Botany, along with a Diploma and Certificate in Forestry. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Senior Fellow, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Director, Commissioner & Secretary, and District Collector and Magistrate. His most recent position was Chief Secretary to the Government in the General Administration Department from July 31, 2014, to March 31, 2015. Rao’s extensive experience spans multiple administrative and leadership roles within the Tripura government.
