G.K. Arun Sundar Thayalan, born on 13 May 1985, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2009 batch, Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a B.Com. degree from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, C.S. Currently, he serves as Additional Secretary at the Finance Department in Chennai since 16 June 2021. His previous roles include Additional Secretary to Government, District Collector, Additional Director, Additional Registrar, Deputy Secretary, Regional Development Commissioner, Project Officer, and Sub Collector. He is proficient in English and Tamil and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
