G D Mukherjee, born on November 5, 1932, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 Bihar cadre. He held multiple positions throughout his career, including Joint Secretary, Secretary, Director, Deputy Secretary, Additional District Magistrate, Sub-Divisional Officer, and Junior Scale. His most recent role was Joint Secretary in the Information and Broadcasting Department from April 1, 1990, to November 1, 1990. Mukherjee holds postgraduate qualifications in Economics, along with graduate degrees in Commerce and Law.
