G D Maheshwari, born on October 2, 1940, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 Uttar Pradesh cadre. She holds postgraduate qualifications in History, a graduate degree in Political Science, and an LL.B. in Law. Throughout her career, she served in various capacities including District Collector and Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Director, Managing Director, Administrator, and Special Secretary. Her most recent position was Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department from April 24, 2000, to October 31, 2000. Maheshwari’s extensive service reflects her commitment to administrative roles within the Uttar Pradesh government.
