G Balaramaiah, born on August 1, 1953, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1994 batch of the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He served in various capacities including Commissioner, Secretary, District Collector and Magistrate, Director, Joint Executive Officer, Joint Secretary, and Joint Collector. His most recent position was Secretary in the Department of Youth Affairs from October 9, 2012, to May 31, 2013. A graduate by education, Mr. Balaramaiah has had a distinguished career in public administration before retiring from service.
