G Anantha Ramu, born on June 4, 1967, is a 1990 batch IAS officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.E. degree and is proficient in English, Hindi, and Kannada. Currently, he serves as the Special Chief Secretary to the Governor of Andhra Pradesh since September 8, 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Assistant Collector, Secretary, Commissioner, Chairman & Managing Director, Managing Director, Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Vice Chairperson, Joint Collector, and Special Chief Secretary. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
