Erubothu Venkataiah, born on July 1, 1954, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 Karnataka cadre. He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in Commerce. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Principal Secretary, Managing Director, Director, Commissioner, Additional Director, and Deputy Commissioner. His most recent position was Principal Secretary in the Social Welfare Department of Karnataka from November 27, 2012, to June 30, 2014. Venkataiah’s extensive administrative experience spans multiple senior roles within the state government before his retirement.
