Dr. Diwesh Nath Sharan, born on March 23, 1960, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 Rajasthan cadre. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and postgraduate degrees in Economics from the USA and India. During his career, he served in various capacities including Director, Deputy Secretary, District Collector and District Magistrate, Managing Director, and Sub-Divisional Officer. From March 24, 2000, to March 24, 2005, he was the Economist for Rajasthan. After retirement, he was associated with the Asian Development Bank.
