Special Secretary, Commerce and Industry Department
Dipak Chakraborty, born on 30 June 1946, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1989 batch, West Bengal cadre. A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including Additional District Magistrate, Controller, Commissioner, Joint Secretary, and Principal Secretary. His most recent position was Special Secretary in the Commerce and Industry Department from 2 February 2005 to 30 June 2006. Throughout his career, Chakraborty contributed to the administrative framework of West Bengal until his retirement.
