Dinesh Kumar, born on 16 September 1958, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 batch of the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Botany, an M.B.A. in Management, and an M.Phil. in Botany. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Special Chief Secretary, Chief Executive Officer, Development Commissioner, Principal Secretary, Commissioner, and District Collector and Magistrate. His most recent position was Special Chief Secretary in the Housing Department from 27 May 2016 to 16 July 2017.
