Dhirendra Kumar Tiwari, born on 30 December 1968, is a 1994 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. He holds a B.E., M.B.B.S. from Pondicherry University, and a Ph.D. Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner at Punjab's Excise Department since 27 June 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various key positions including Secretary & Mission Director, Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary/Finance Commissioner, Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, Special Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, Municipal Commissioner, and Additional District Magistrate & Collector. He is proficient in English and Hindi and remains in active service.
