Dheeraj Sahu, born on 19 June 1972, is a 1996 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering. Currently, he serves as Additional Secretary at the School Education and Literacy Department under the Ministry of Education, Delhi, since 26 August 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Joint Magistrate, Transport Commissioner, Excise Commissioner, Housing Commissioner, Commissioner and Secretary, Managing Director, Special Secretary, District Magistrate, and Joint Secretary. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
