Dheeraj Gupta, born on August 5, 1967, is a 1993 batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre. He holds an M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering. Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Secretary to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir since October 19, 2024. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including ACS-Cum-Financial Commissioner, Principal Secretary, Commissioner, Additional Secretary, Adviser, Joint Secretary, Director, PS to Union Minister, Deputy Secretary, Special Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, Excise Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, and SDM. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
