Devesh Chaturvedi, born on 15 February 1966, is a retired IAS officer of the 1989 Uttar Pradesh cadre. He served as Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, New Delhi, from August 2024 to February 2026. An alumnus of IIT Kanpur (B.Tech Mechanical Engineering), IIT Delhi (M.Tech Industrial Engineering), and IIM Bangalore (PG Diploma in Public Policy), he held multiple key positions including Divisional Commissioner and Principal Secretary. His awards include the CAPAM International Innovation Award (2013) for Kumbh Mela management, National Tourism Award (2012-13), and the Census Silver Medal (2001). He is proficient in English and Hindi.
