She holds an M.B.B.S. degree from Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai. Currently, she serves as the District Magistrate of Howrah, a position she has held since 18 September 2023. Deepap Priya is proficient in English, Tamil, and Bengali. She continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
