Deepak Kumar, born on 10 April 1966, is a 1990 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a graduate and postgraduate degree in History. Currently, he serves as the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh since 15 September 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Development Officer, Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary to Government, Executive Director, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, Housing Commissioner, Chief Executive Officer, Vice Chairman, District Magistrate, Special Secretary, Director, District Collector and Magistrate, and Chief Development Officer. He is proficient in English and Hindi.
