Deepak Kumar, born on 3 February 1960, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer of the 1984 Bihar cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Civil Engineering and a postgraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He most recently served as Vice-Chairperson at the Bihar State Disaster Management Authority from 30 September 2026. Throughout his career, he held various significant positions including Principal Secretary, Chief Secretary, Chairman, Joint Secretary, Secretary, Administration Officer, Private Secretary, Director General, Officer on Special Duty to Minister, District Collector and Magistrate, Director, Deputy Development Commissioner, and Sub-Divisional Officer.
