Debasish Som, born on March 10, 1960, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Electronics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Commissioner, Director, District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, Additional Executive Officer, and Executive Magistrate. His most recent position was Managing Director of the State Industrial Development Corporation from May 24, 2006, to September 30, 2007.
