Dr. Debashish Chakrabarty, born on February 6, 1962, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1986 Maharashtra cadre. He holds advanced degrees in Operation Research and Mathematics, including a postgraduate degree and an M.Phil. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities such as Assistant Collector, Sub-Divisional Officer, Deputy Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, District Collector, Commissioner, Secretary, and Chief Electoral Officer. His most recent designation was Chief Electoral Officer in Maharashtra's Law and Justice Department. Dr. Chakrabarty’s extensive administrative experience spans multiple key roles within the state government.
