Dr. Debashish Chakrabarty, born on February 6, 1962, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1986 Maharashtra cadre. He holds advanced degrees in Operation Research and Mathematics, including a postgraduate degree and an M.Phil. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities such as Assistant Collector, Sub-Divisional Officer, Deputy Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, District Collector, Commissioner, Secretary, and Chief Electoral Officer. His most recent designation was Chief Electoral Officer in Maharashtra's Law and Justice Department.
